211 kilometres done! What a perfect day of walking from Surrey to Lake Verde, PEI.
Sun dappled trail today!
My pack was extra heavy today with all my gear and food, but the weather proved ideal and the trail was all kinds of beautiful. So more pics, less writing to share of this 25 kilometre day.
I began in sun where I’d ended in rain the day before (section 30)
Stopped many times to apprecIate awesomeness.
Apparently I am not strong enough to move trees if they fall on the path.
These great shelters can be found all along the trail.
A balanced lunch: salad, grapes and oreos. Note an empty chip canister is perfect for keeping crackers and oreos from getting crushed in your pack.
At road crossing, still pretty views.
The trail provides a snack!
Again, thank you to all for donations to the Lennon Recovery House fundraiser. Today’s total is $3985! It’s so encouraging to have your support and interest in this journey.
If you haven’t donated and would like to get us to $4000 (we’re so close!) this is the link.
More of the adventure to come! Christine
